Training history: I have been training for 9 years 

Favourite exercise: Wheelchair chin-up 

Favourite quote: “Whatever doesn't kill you only makes you stronger, and the will to succeed only feeds the hunger.”

List 3 things you did consistently that helped you achieve this result:

  • I lifted heavy weights no more than 3 times a week (2 hours a week MAX);
  • Meal prep every week which enabled me to Eat 6 MP meals a day if not more; and  
  • Regularly took time out for myself to 'switch off'.

If you had 1x piece of advice for someone struggling with their own transformation, what would it be?

Focus on what you can do not what you can't. And if you fall down 7 times, get back up 8 times! 

Tell me something about yourself that nobody else knows?

Due to being born with Spina Bifida I have had a minimum on 18 surgeries in my life, although I don't know the official number.

Despite my condition, I've always been interested and involved in organised sports from a young age. I have played in a number of wheelchair sports including basketball, tennis, rugby, handball and fencing and I have also been a personal trainer for over 7 years.

During this most recent 12 week program I actually had a car accident and was also sick on and off for 2 weeks. This forced me to have 5 weeks off training completely, which made me focus on my nutritional habits. I didn’t let these obstacles hold me back but instead I focused on what I could do – this allowed me a lot more to get the best result I could. Never give up." :)
