Samantha O'Reilly: "I was scared, but I did it."

Recently, a group of qualified Metabolic Precision Specialists completed the Ab Factory Ultimate Role Model Challenge. Not only did they put themselves in their clients' shoes and make themselves fully accountable to us, but their “big reveal” performances were also live-streamed in front of 10,000 members in the MP page. This is their story.

Transformation Specialist: Samantha O'Reilly

Business Name: Fit Ballarat

In the weeks leading up to the big reveal, I was scared.

I was scared of not looking as fit as the other trainers. I was scared of the cellulite I still have on my thighs. I was scared because I still had some of my baby belly. But the feedback I received afterwards was so amazing that I now wish I hadn't been so hard on myself.

Even though I only gave birth a little over twelve months prior, I was expecting backlash. But instead I received loads of support.

I used to be an 'all or nothing' person when it came to nutrition. If I missed breakfast, or ate a meal not on my meal plan, I was done for the week and had to wait until Monday to start again.

This time however, if a mistake was made, I would work through why it happened and immediately get back on track. I learnt that persistence is key.

Samantha's post-baby journey has been very productive

I didn’t try to be perfect, I just improved my compliancy. There were many nights where there was very little sleep, and days where I would have to cuddle my son for hours on end.

At times, missing training sessions, compliant meals and necessary shut-eye, I was exhausted. But rather than focus on what I was doing 'wrong', I just focused on improving what I was doing 'right' and gradually other areas began to fall into place too.

There were certainly days where I struggled to maintain my dedication. I had plenty of days when all I wanted to do was throw in the towel while my children were being a huge obstacle.

But after seeing my results from the Role Model Challenge, although extremely happy with the outcome, knowing I could have seen a bigger improvement is motivation to commit better next time. :)

Samantha xoxo
