Jenna Evans: "Small Steps Equal Big Results"

Training history: I've been weight-training since I was 15 years old.

List 3 things you did consistently that helped you achieve this result:

  1. Surrounded myself with people who supported my goal. My partner, my trainers and even my clients were all there to encourage and support me. Changing habits is hard, but if you have the right network of people surrounding you, it’s easy, and even fun!!

  2. Listened to my trainers!! They know their shit! They have been there before me. If I doubted something, I asked them. I wanted to fall back into my "diet ways" when it came close to the shoot because I was in a panic... But they guided me, and were so positive. They made me see how far I had come rather than how far I had to go. After all, small progress is still progress. Keep going!

I fought the negative self-talk. Everyday I tried to talk myself down. I'd wake up and reflect on the day before and what I hadn’t done, when I recognised I was doing this I reversed it. I started to think about all the things I HAD achieved and HAD done. My mood changed, I felt great! Trained harder, spent more time on food prep! Being positive is HUGE! Don’t underestimate the power of a positive mindset!


    (Twelve months of hard work and Jenna has dropped from a size 10-12 to a size 8)

    My advice is keep it simple!! Set small goals and focus on being better each week. It doesn't have to be huge.

    Figure out where you're at and just aim for a small step from there. It might be something as simple as going to bed 30min earlier, which then means you wake up with more energy and you choose to eat a better breakfast...

    Things will just flow if you take small steps! Listen to your trainer. Trust the process and ENJOY the ride.

    (Results come to those who take small steps and stick to them consistently) 

    Tell me something about yourself that nobody else knows?

    I would love to climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge. It's has been a goal of mine since I was 16. This might have to be my next reward for achieving my next goal! :D

    Bonus Question: Would you rather be able to speak fluently every language in the world, or be the best in the world at something of your choosing?

    I'd want to be able to speak every language in the world!! How amazing would that be?? I love to talk! Anyone who knows me will smile at this... ;)

    And I would LOVE to be able to travel to all different countries, go exploring and be able to communicate with all the locals! I would learn so much from all the different cultures."
