Losing the last 5kg by Dave Oulton

“I have a slow metabolism and find it hard to lose weight.”

Nope! Sorry... it’s got nothing to do with your metabolism. 🙅🏼‍♂️

If your results have stopped, it has everything to do with:

❌UNDER-ESTIMATING the energy you’re consuming; and
❌OVER-ESTIMATING the energy you’re burning from exercise.

EXAMPLE: You do more exercise (likely cardio) and therefore you think you can get away with eating more junk food... Doing too much exercise actually makes you crave junk food, so in your tired, over-trained and emotional state, you start justifying it to yourself... 🤦🏻‍♂️

Unfortunately a lot of people fall into this category. They don’t accurately track what they eat and drink and then fixate on doing MORE exercise to supplement the indulgences, hoping they burn more than they consume. But it’s a slippery slope and you’ll never be able to improve a nutrient-deficient and over-trained body. Why?

❌Eating more junk food means you’re not getting enough protein and fibre; and
❌Too much cardio will short-circuit the recovery process and therefore hinder any increases in strength/muscle hypertrophy.

Eighteen months into her program, Rach has done an amazing job losing over 40kg. Now she’s told me she wants more!

So she is now focused on being a little more diligent with her food recording as well as doing just 4x intense weight-training sessions a week. No cardio. None.

She is adhering to the conclusive science of body transformation rather than letting her emotions dictate the outcome of her actions. This is how you lose the last 5kg – a little less emotion and a lot more adherence to the science.

The changes are happening already.💪
