Geoff Curran: "I needed a reason to be here."

Recently, a group of qualified Metabolic Precision Specialists completed the Ab Factory Ultimate Role Model Challenge. Not only did they put themselves in their clients' shoes and make themselves fully accountable to us, but their “big reveal” performances were also live-streamed in front of 10,000 members in the MP page. This is their story.

Transformation Specialist: Geoff Curran

Business Name: Perfect Bounce

My main reason for entering the Role Model Challenge was actually quite selfish.

If I became a better role model for my current and potential clients, that was a bonus. However, over the past 12 months I suffered the passing of both my mother and my wife.

I needed a reason to actually hang around myself. Yes, it did get to that stage. But looking at the effect those incidents had on me, I couldn't bring myself to put my family through that trauma again.

This challenge provided the opportunity for me to actually focus on something that would give me a reason to still be around, and perhaps assist me through the healing and grieving process I was going through.

During hard times Geoff focused only the only thing he could control - himself

I also had two bouts of eye surgery during the challenge.  Post operation instructions from the doc were not to engage in resistance training as heavy lifting increases intra ocular pressure, and this would have inhibited the healing process. I had to work my way around that by doing different things.

I still struggle every day with what has happened, and don't know if I will ever really recover.  It's not a situation that I would ever wish on anybody else.  There are people that rely on me for a lot of things and I owe it to them to still be around to help them as well.

I look at my situation and then look at my nephew who hasn't yet turned 12 and has already lost his dad, grandmother and only aunt.  What has he ever done to deserve that happen to him?  It looks like I'm supposed to be here for a while yet to assist people like him to be the best they can be.

In order for me to help them, I need to be the best that I can be. That's how I see it.

Geoff :)
