Let me start by saying that I'm no expert.
To me, the term “expert” refers to someone who knows everything, and I certainly don’t know everything.
When it comes to competitive bodybuilding for fitness model and figure, I’ve only competed in three seasons over the last 3.5 years.
And while I’ve taken out a top 3 placing in all 9 competitions so far (including a WFF Miss Victoria overall champion title, WFF Miss Australia and more recently, 2nd Place WFF Miss World Performance), I’ve still got a long way to go before I can call myself “experienced” or even “knowledgeable” in the sport.
One thing I have done, however, is a lot of research.
Before I decided to get into the sport I went and watched countless competitions, spoke to many experts, interviewed lots of competitors and basically did everything I could to educate myself before I decided if it was something I wanted to do or not.
That still doesn’t make me an expert, but I find that most people don’t even know where to begin when they first become interested.
Hence, I’ve put this handy little book together for you to give you an insight into what I’ve learnt, what to expect, where you might get started if you’re interested in getting into the sport and what you should do first.
Please note that this book is based entirely on my own experience. Feel free to take everything I say with a grain of salt.
Don’t just take my word for it either.
Ask as many people as you can for their opinion too, and then make up your own mind.
That’s exactly how I did it
