Congratulations Naomi for completing your first photo-shoot challenge with us!
Tell us, what was the best part of this journey?
Learning more about myself including what are my strengths mentally and physically, and some challenges that influenced my end result.
What was the biggest habit holding you back? And have you conquered it completely yet, or still working on it?
The biggest habit holding me back was picking at food (chocolate), especially as a comfort. I have nearly conquered it, best thing I did was make sure it’s not in the house.
What did you struggle with the most on this journey, and how did you overcome it?
I struggled with the chop part after the shop, and also consistently doing meal prep. Also being fully prepared if we are going out for the day or somewhere after training. The other thing was if my husband and I had a movie date night we would get the ice cream. To start with I felt obligated to have one, but then I realized that it was ok to not have one.
What did you find the easiest on this journey?
Staying consistent with my exercise.

Favourite motivational quote:
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It’s our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about us shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine like children do. It’s not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine; we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
What advice would you give to someone who resonates with your story and might be struggling?
I would say don’t try and change everything at once. Work on one thing at a time and turn those constant changes into habits. Don’t give up when things get hard. Stop the self-talk and start being kind to yourself.
In bullet point form, list 3 ingredients that you feel are vital to a successful transformation?
- Being accountable;
- Being prepared with meal preps; and
- Having a clear goal.
What did you learn from this experience?
That it’s not about being perfect, it’s about making small changes so they become a lifestyle.

Tell us something about yourself?
For the first 8 weeks of my first official program I spent in and out of hospital with blood clots and a few medical issues from a basic day procedure. As I was not able to exercise, for me it was about nailing the food side which helped me when I was able to start exercising again.
By getting into good habits with my food as that’s all I had control over, it helped when I added the rest.
I still experience back pain but I feel stronger now at 41 than I have for years.
Ladies, do you want to build a firm, shapely body you can keep all year round? Our next intake starts on 22 April 2019.
